Grimm & Co presents the “BIG Write Up to Light Up the Dark”, and they need your stories and imagination THIS October half-term.
Yorkshire’s Grimm & Co will host spooktacular October half-term storytelling activities, with the first of several events kicking off on October 17th and continuing on October 27th.
It’s no mystery that Grimm & Co is Yorkshire’s very own Emporium of Stories, serving humans (young and not so young) alongside their most loyal customers from the magical realm, all seeking stories as nourishment.
However, as the nights get darker and colder, the magical creatures crave stories even more, and the magic that powers the building needs an extra bit of umph to keep the lights on at Grimm & Co.
Fortunately, this Autumn half term, Grimm & Co can rely on creatives across South Yorkshire to come and fill the Emporium with stories, cosy vibes and Autumnal comforting menu of food and drinks.
There’s a host of activities for young people including a guest theatrical adaptation of ‘The Firework Maker’s Daughter’ by Next Door But One. There will be many activities for all the family, including Grimm & Co’s signature Potion Making Sessions, Wand Making workshops and stained glass window stories from the ghosts and happenings of the past . With all these seasonal story antics, Grimm & Co is expecting to be busy and fully lit up by the big finale.
There will also be a 3-day exciting series of workshops which will help to shape projections and light shows in the upcoming Winter Lights Festival.
On October 31st, Grimm & Co will be hosting the BIG Write Up to Light Up the Dark, inviting people of all ages to enter their Feastery Café and write, create and share their stories with prompts created by young people taken directly from the self-published “Journal 365” – and it’s completely free to visit.
