We give children and young people a reason to write, and we showcase their work in a variety of exciting ways. Previous showcase events have taken place at Wentworth Woodhouse, the Showroom Cinema and on BBC Radio 4.
Grimm & Co are a literacy charity that champions the writer in every child. We build confidence, self-esteem and skills in both workshops for schools and our out of school holiday clubs. We empower children and young people with one to one support and mentoring from trained staff and volunteers.
Grimm & Co believe in…
- Using storytelling to give every child, from every background, a voice
- Challenging expectations and aspirations
- Inspiring whole communities to get involved in children’s development
- Taking fun VERY seriously
Our out of school workshops take place throughout the year. They result in fabulous outcomes such as the ones shown below. If you’d like to find out more about how the young people create their magic, click here.
We are a small charity that depends on the support of our customers and donors. If you are able to help to support the work that we do, we would be truly grateful. You can do this by sharing our story, visiting our shop for all your magical and mortal supplies, and by making one off or regular donations. Thank you for your support.
With many thanks to all the funders and supporters who have made this work possible. You can read more details of this support in each individual Showcase event page.
