Monologues!

In early 2019, a group of 11-to-14 year old writers worked with the Grimm & Co team in a programme of out of school writing sessions.  They wrote and recorded one minute monologues about their lives, their experiences, and the things they like.  Here’s just one of the fabulous monologues they recorded.

With many thanks to film maker Brett Chapman for his input.

Here, Elliott tells us all about the importance of physics in video games:

More of the monologues can be see on our YouTube channel here.  Listen to Leah talk about her love of Nirvana, find out about racing from Raqeeb and hear what Caitlin has to say about feminism.  Felix and Amelia tell us about Countries and Children.  What would you write a monologue about?

If you’d like to see more of the work that we do with children and young people, have a look at our Showcase page.  This includes a range of different projects that we have completed over the last couple of years.  We offer activities for young people aged 7-18, so if you’re interested, get in touch!  We’d love to hear from you.
