Closure due to Coronavirus

Following government guidance, we have taken the very difficult decision to close the doors to the apothecary from March 18 2020 until we are advised that it is safe to reopen. We appreciate that this is disappointing, but the safety of our children, visitors, staff and volunteers is paramount in these uncertain times.  This includes the closure of school workshops, after-school activities, Saturday clubs, volunteer inductions and shifts, and the shop.  In addition, we are likely to remain closed over the Easter holidays, and so will not be providing any apothecary activities.

We’re afraid that we are also unable to fulfil online orders at this time.  If you would like to order pen pal post or gift cards, we can fulfil these electronically by e-mail.  You are still able to place orders for other products on the website, and we will fulfil these as a priority as soon as we are able.  These could be as a gift for someone who is supporting you right now, an end-of-term gift for a teacher, a birthday present, or simply as a gift to yourself for when this is all over.  As a small charity, we would really appreciate your business, and this is a great way to continue to support us through these difficult times.

We will be posting activities online for those mini-mortals who may find themselves at home over the coming weeks.  These will go onto our social media pages, and we may also send these out via a regular newsletter.  Please sign up here if you would like to receive updates by e-mail –

Staff will be working from home until further notice, and are contactable by e-mail.  Please do not call the apothecary, as there will be no phone service during this time.

We understand that this is a difficult and worrying time for all.  We truly appreciate all our supporters and volunteers, and will try to keep you updated as regularly as we can.  If you are able to support us during this time, so that our charity can continue to serve the children and young people, this would be wonderful.

Stay safe and be kind.

Good ’ealth, Graham Grimm
