Seasonal Gifting ideas

We know it’s early, but we’re spreading the seasonal cheer now, because we feel like a little joy would be appreciated. The elves have been busy in their workshops, and have created some lovely products to give as gifts (or to keep for yourself!).

Christmas cards with greenery and candlesFirstly, here are our festive greeting cards.  This year’s cards were designed exclusively for Grimm & Co by award-winning illustrator and patron, Chris Mould.  They are left blank inside for your own greeting, curse or secret spell, or to fill with words of wisdom for those you haven’t seen for a while.

For a bit of variety, we also have sets of eight slightly smaller cards, with beautiful photographs taken by James Brown. Featuring Humbugs, Festive Cheer and the Spirit of Christmas, these will brighten up any mantlepiece.

Side effects may include tears of joy, increased popularity and the desire to leap like a lord (possibly with 9 friends).*

*At time of writing, there will not be ten lords leaping or nine ladies dancing, and we do not recommend meeting in groups of more than two in order to pipe, drum, leap, dance, milk or swim.

Gift box designed like a suitcaseWe know that sometimes it’s difficult to think of what to give to your Great-Aunt Mabel, Uncle Fred who has everything, or the next-door-neighbour who always turns up unexpectedly with a gift on Christmas Eve.  We’re here to help!

Have a look at our Gift Boxes to Mull Over.  The elves at Grimm & Co have collected some of their favourite festive items together and stuffed them inside a little suitcase ready to be hidden under the Christmas tree or tucked into a stocking.

These boxes contain lovely presents to be enjoyed on a chilly winter’s night; a spiced drink warming your hands/claws, treats for a sweet tooth and cosy garments fit for the fanciest elf.

Choose from a variety of treats, depending on the being that you would like to surprise – magical, mortal, child, adult.Gift box with individually wrapped itemsWe also have a beautiful Christmas themed Novel Tea-Box.  Each item is individually wrapped to add to the excitement of unwrapping, and contains gifts that include a cloth-bound version of A Christmas Carol, humbugs, spiced chai tea pyramids, a tin of biscuits and other assorted delights.   Other Novel Tea Boxes are available, with assorted gifts and literary treats.

For young story lovers, we have a range of books, including Matt Haig’s The Boy Called Christmas, and The Girl who Saved Christmas.  If your mini-mortal likes to draw while they read, why not check out the Illustrate your own …  range too.

If all these sound too good to be true, how about some Festive Disappointment to add some utter grumpiness?  Containing 1 piece of coal, 3 shivers from a bleak mid-winter, and 2 spoonfuls of just desserts, this tin is guaranteed to bring an air of amused displeasure throughout the festive season! Open the lid and prepare for anti-climax – effective immediately.Tin of festive disappointmentFinally, some of our mini-mortals worry about the lack of a chimney in their house.  Never fear, the elves have provided a helpful alternative to allow entry from the magical realms.  Our Festive Entry key is especially effective on Christmas Eve, but may also be used by the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny and other visiting gifters.Old fashioned iron key, labelled Festive Entry KeyWe hope to bring your more exciting products in the run up to Christmas, so watch this space!
