White Rose Award Winners!

Well, what a week it’s been!

Monday saw some of the Grimm & Co staff and board members making their way to Harrogate for the Welcome to Yorkshire White Rose Awards for a glittering night of entertainment.  Grimm & Co were shortlisted as one of the best Small Attractions in Yorkshire, and many fingers, toes and talons were crossed.

We are thrilled to announced that we won the Small Attraction of the Year award, recognising Grimm & Co as a “real delight and a wonderful addition to the Yorkshire tourism offer.”  The judges stated that we were “A magical world in the heart of Rotherham that helps children re-connect with the awe and wonder of their imaginations by building their writing skills and confidence.”

Communications Coordinator Louise Treloar said “It has been an amazing experience, and I can’t believe that we’ve won!  Grimm & Co is a small charity based in the heart of Rotherham, so for us to achieve this award is an incredible thing for our customers, the young people that we work with, and for Rotherham itself.  We hope it will encourage more people to come and visit us, and make a day of it in Rotherham.  We can’t stop smiling!”

Patron Joanne Harris was one of many to congratulate the charity, with the comment “Oh well done!  I can’t think of anyone who deserves it more…”

Speaking of Joanne Harris, a new product has graced the shelves of Grimm & Co this week, which has been incredibly popular!  You can now buy a Novel Tea Box, containing everything that magical beings may need for their sustenance, from wart pickers, mini cauldrons and travel snacks.  (Translation for mortal beings: contains a selection of items, including tea temples, a mug and a choice of folk fable from our renowned patron.)  Joanne even featured this on her own website, http://www.joanne-harris.co.uk/

The Novel Tea Box is also available online at www.grimmandco.co.uk, along with many other products that make brilliant, quirky gifts for loved ones (magical or mortal).
